How Riffle handles platform data
Riffle helps teams find and join public conversations. That only works if communities can trust how we collect and use what's posted there. Here's exactly what we do, and what we never do.
What we collect
Riffle reads public posts and comments that match our customers' trackers, such as a brand name, a competitor or a product category. We use official platform APIs wherever they are available, and we only collect content that is publicly visible. We never access private messages, private groups or anything behind a login.
What we store
We store post IDs, links back to the original post, short snippets and our own relevance, intent and sentiment scores. Full content is fetched from the platform when a customer views it, so our copy stays current. Every item links back to its source, with attribution.
What we never do
- Reply, vote, message or follow automatically in other people's conversations
- Post to Reddit on your behalf: our Reddit access is read-only
- Use platform content to train AI models
- Sell, license or share platform data as a dataset
- Create fake accounts, bypass login walls or use CAPTCHA solvers
- Show platform content alongside advertising
Deleted content
When a post is deleted or removed on the original platform, we remove it from Riffle promptly and stop showing it to customers. Where a platform provides compliance tools for this, we use them.
Posting and replies
Riffle can suggest a reply, but a person always reviews it and posts it from their own account, on the platform itself. Riffle only publishes a customer's own posts to their connected accounts, at times they schedule, and any automation, such as reposting their own post, is opt-in. We encourage every customer to disclose who they work for and to follow each community's rules on self-promotion.
Your data
If you join our waitlist or use Riffle, we handle your personal data in line with UK and EU data protection law. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it at any time. Full details are in our privacy policy.
